Double denim trouble?

My go-to nowadays just has to be anything denim - jeans, jacket, dress, pinafore, skirt... Yeah, my wardrobe is basically having a denim party right now! I've tried the double-denim look before, but having acquired this cosy Missguided shearling jacket recently, decided to do it again! The trick to avoid looking too clumpy/over-denimed is to have 2 different colours in your look, and opt for different silhouettes. For example, my dress is a flattering skater cut, while my denim jacket is a little oversized. Put them together, and I have the perfect look for the early-2000s Gwen Stefani!

To inject a little more colour (blue alone is so boring!), I knotted a silk scarf in bright spring colours around my neck. You can find this beautiful scarf in an Oriental design on Powder's website, amongst many other beauties. Most of their spring scarves are made from 100% silk, and are so soft and silky to the touch. I'm not much of a scarf person, but this was a fun accessory to add to my wardrobe, and it can be worn in so many ways! I'm thinking of knotting it into an oversized bow, paired with a little black dress for a day-to-night look.
