OOTD: Happy Halloween!

Friday, 31 October 2014
Coat: boohoo | Dress: Primark | Heels: New Look | Necklaces and Ring: Noviembre

Happy Halloween, everyone! It used to be one of my favourite days back when I was a kid, although Singapore doesn't actually recognise it as a holiday >:( But I lived in a neighbourhood that always pulled out all the stops with the decorations, and there was always trick-or-treating going on, so I have pretty fond memories of October 31st.

This year, I'm going to a friend's Halloween costume party, but here's something else more appropriate to wear out for the day itself. Of course, I went with all the tried-and-tested trends of all-black, lace and gothic jewellery, but don't you just love the overall effect? I especially love the accessories I paired with this outfit, they're so appropriately witchy (details below).

I also invested in new make-up for the occasion, No. 7's matte lip crayon in Raspberry Wine. It's quite long-lasting and is basically a deeper shade of my natural lip colour, and only cost me £9!

How are you all celebrating Halloween? Don't forget to look out for my Halloween costume soon! x

OOTD: National Day

Sunday, 17 August 2014
Dress: River Island // Belt: Vintage // Sandals: Topshop

Time sure flies! Last week Saturday, Singapore celebrated her 49th birthday - this little island sure has come a long way from being a port/fishing village to the amazing city it is today. Sometimes, when I get a glimpse of the skyline of the city, I really am in awe of the progress Singapore has made in such a short span of time.

Despite all of my grouses (hot weather, inconsiderate service, ERP gantries), I do love my country. I could never live the rest of my life without the food, the shopping, the breathtaking views, and most of all, my friends and family.

So here was my own little tribute to the nation - wearing the not-so-flattering colour combination of red and white to celebrate an astounding 49 years! I really love the dress, although perhaps I should have sized down; as you can see, the waist was a bit big and I had to cinch it in with a belt. River Island is such a fantastic brand with beautiful clothes, and this particular piece was a steal at £14 only. Definitely a lasting piece - I could wear this to clubs, a coffee date, or to work!

Speaking of which, I apologise for the lack of posts. I've been swamped with work, job applications and socialising (which I really should have done in the first couple of weeks home), so I've been to busy to document what I've been wearing. Plus, I can pretty much guarantee that I've been wearing pretty much the black and white court attire to work, which is boring me to tears!

I have a couple more collaborations and features lined up, so do stay tuned! x
