OOTD: White-Out

Saturday, 10 January 2015
Hat: Primark | Coat: Asos (old) | Pussybow Blouse: Missguided | Pants: SheLikes.com* | Shoes: Zara (old)

It feels so weird not to be blogging all the time! I've been up to my nose in revision these past couple of weeks, and I'm frustrated that my exams are scheduled so far apart that there really is no point in memorising everything now.

I took a revision break to snap a shot of my take on winter whites with fellow blogger, Gail, featuring these lovely pants SheLikes.com sent me. I'm wild about the grid print and even own a similar jacket, and these pants are stretchy comfy - great for my post-holidays weight gain (lol)! They're actually a little big and long for me, so I recommend sizing down on them if you're thinking of buying off their site. But the material is really thick and I didn't have any VPL issues, and it went great with my pussybow blouse and floppy hat for a 70s vibe.

As you can see from the photos, I've definitely gained a bit of weight - the amount of food I've been eating has been terrifying! But I'm embarking on a 12-week toning programme and a 30 day ab challenge with my flatmate, plus am trying out a deatox tea after being contacted by a company, so look out for some fitness/health posts in the near future!

OOTD: Animalistic

Monday, 20 October 2014
Jumper: Zara | Skirt: Missguided | Clutch: Asos | Boots: Asos

I'm writing this right after I've slogged through a few assignments which are due and readings for a lecture today... Phew! Law school is tough but I have a nasty feeling that it's going to get much worse, so I really shouldn't be complaining.

Surprisingly, my weekends are usually study and stay-in days, while my weekdays are totally packed - for instance, I wore this outfit for a quick lunch in between running errands the other day. I couldn't resist my monochromatic tendencies, and even went with a bit of an animal theme - there are adorable dogs printed on my jumper, and I accessorised with a cute panda ring. I'm also really into A-line skirts paired with heels, such a wonderful 60s vibe! Obviously, I threw caution to the wind (no pun intended) and braved the breezy skies with just a single layer - I'm lucky it didn't rain. :s

Here's to another week ahead, have a good one everyone! :)

OOTD: Red Brick

Wednesday, 24 September 2014
Top: Missguided | Culottes: Stradivarius | Shoes: Zara | Sunglasses: ASOS | Watch: tickintorque* | Ring: Bristol Harbour Flea Market

Looks like I'm back into the swing of things here! School has officially begun, and my summer holiday brain is struggling to catch up.

I'm loving being back in Manchester, however, there's no other place like it. I opted for something more city chic with this outfit, matching brilliantly with the old-school area of red bricks and gritty streets. I'm a big fan of culottes, with this version being of a thick enough material to take it into Autumn - I think I would've died of the cold with my other polyester pair! They're also the comfiest things ever, and I think they'd go well with a pair of heeled boots and a long coat for chillier weather.

It was an adventure to shoot outdoors, having to navigate people, pets and the occasional car! Many thanks to my flatmate for the help x

OOTD: Printed Midi

Sunday, 31 August 2014
Top: The Editor's Market // Skirt: Stradivarius // Bag: Urban Outfitters // Shoes: Zara // Necklace: H&M // Sunglasses: OLLO*

A/W 14 is nearly upon us, although you can't tell where I am right now! My sunnies game is still going strong, courtesy of OLLO's awesome Rayban-esque design.

Nevertheless, I'm loving the bold and complicated prints of the season, which are featured on my (newly-bought) lightweight skirt. I decided to treat myself after recently securing a training contract, which has become more difficult with the recent influx of lawyers in Singapore. Needless to say, I'm immensely relieved!

Stradivarius has a couple of other skirts really similar to this one, and I might just get the whole set. I think they'd look fab with a chunky knit and knee-length coat! What other combinations do you think I can pull off?

OOTD: Don't Rain on My Parade

Wednesday, 27 August 2014
Shirt: sheinside // Shorts: Zara // Shoes: rubi // Sunglasses: OLLO* // Necklace: Kollidea*

Time to combat the recent back-and-forth switch between scorching heat and monsoon rains with practical clothing! These sneakers are cheap enough to risk splashing around in puddles left after the storms, and the cloud print on my shirt aptly fits the current cloudy atmosphere, no? My upcoming Kollidea necklace is a coincidental match for the shirt, too, so I just had to pair it with the whole outfit. How adorable is the little cloud, accompanied by a raindrop and tiny umbrella (see the pictures below)?

But after the rain comes the sun, and I'm so glad I finally got myself a decent pair of sunnies after my old ones got scratched up in Croatia in Easter. My face shape is so weird hardly any classic shapes look good on me, but these Rayban-ish ones from OLLO are a great fit and come with a slew of protective measures against the glare. I'll be posting more about OLLO in the future, but in the meantime, you guys should definitely check out their website!

How has this week's crazy weather influenced your fashion choices? Let me know in the comments below! x

OOTD: When I Met You in the Summer

Monday, 30 June 2014
Top: New Look // Culotte Shorts: Missguided // Kimono: H&M // Brogues: Zara // Bag: Asos

Is this Calvin Harris song stuck in anyone else's head? It's been playing all day, every day on each radio station I tune into, and I simply can't get enough of it! Such a summery tune (I am so bad at adjectives) with a gorgeous festival vibe.

The Singapore music scene is steadily growing, and while there's nothing close to the level of Glatsonbury, some festivals such as Baybeats are happening within these couple of weeks. My take on 'festival fashion' is a good, airy kimono, cropped top and maybe some cute bottoms - exactly what I've tried to do here! Granted, the brogues wouldn't stand a chance in a muddy field, so I'd trade them in for some black boots or even pink jellies given the chance. They were great for tromping up and down the shopping malls today, though!

Let me know in the comments what you think of my outfit! x

Feature: Eureka Jewellery I

Friday, 20 June 2014
Top: Zara // Shorts: Zara // Sandals: Topshop // Necklace: Eureka Jewellery*

If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll have noticed that I was kindly gifted two necklaces by new online jeweller, Eureka Jewellery. I was allowed to pick out the designs I liked best, and was pleasantly surprised at the wide range stocked. This silver pendant immediately caught my eye - I've been lusting over druzy pendants for ages and hardly have any silver/chrome jewellery in my collection, so it was easily my first choice.

Most of Eureka's necklaces are of the dainty variety, and while I like mine bolder, they're easier to wear and can class up any old outfit. For instance, I've dressed really simply in the photos, but the small detail of the pendant really goes a long way!

I think most of their products are affordable, pricewise, especially considering the sort of material that each piece is made of. My pendant here is 18K White Gold plated! Plus, the service is friendly and polite, and my gifts arrived way before I even got home for the summer holidays.

Do remember to check out Eureka Jewellery on Facebook and Instagram. Do you have any pieces you've got your eye on?
