The new 'in' thing with skincare are undoubtedly electronic facial cleansers, such as Magnitone and Clearsonic, just to name a few. I've heard so many good things about Magnitone Cleansers from fellow bloggers and Youtubers, so when The Bloggers Hub offered me a chance to be gifted with one, I jumped at it!
I couldn't wait to try it out, although I was a bit nervous as I am pretty blemish-prone and was worried about over-exfoliating. I've had zero experience with electronic facial cleansers - the furthest form of exfoliation I do with my face is with scrubs weekly. The Magnitone Lucid, though, helps to exfoliate the skin even with regular facial cleanser, and recommended that I use it every day for a week to see results.
I pushed my doubts aside and began my week of using the Lucid every day. There are two settings to the Lucid, 'Deep Clean' and 'Sensitive'. I squirted a bit of facial cleanser onto the brush directly and opted for the latter setting just in case, then roved the rotating brush over my entire face for a total of 1 minute. The brush was really helpful as it actually beeped every 20 seconds, and stopped completely after 1 minute - great for daydreamers like me, who can never seem to multi-task!
I haven't seen any obvious differences to my face (my acne scars are still there, and I've got a new spot from wearing my spectacles too much), but the Lucid gives me a nice massage every day and my skin does feel 'bouncier'. My week isn't up yet for me to really gauge the results, but I definitely think this is a nice investment if exfoliating scrubs are too much for your skin!
If you've been lusting after a Magnitone, but have been a little put-off by the price, have no fear! Magnitone is offering 20% off for my readers - all you have to do is use the code 'LauraN20' to redeem the discount! You can also find their whole range of cleansers here, so knock yourself out!
